On March 3rd 2013, TOPI Nenana gave birth to 7 babies sired by TOPI Thiel. There are 5 girls and 2 boys. All of the babies are rare black-eyed whites, except for one girl with a face spot. JOY Gingerbread has 9 babies born on March 1 2013, sired by SITH/JOY Secretariat. This was a second litter for this couple, whose first litter can be seen here. In this current litter there 7 girls and 2 boys in varying shades of russian blue and russian blue agouti. Most are fairly solid colored, with a few American Irish (small white tummy markings,) with white feet/toes. About half the litter will has smooth coats and half have curly rex coats. About half are dumbo and half are standard eared. All of the babies in this litter are reserved for our waiting list. On December 15th 2012 TOPI Gina gave birth to 2 babies, one male, one female. Both babies appear to be burmese like Alfie. Unfortunately, due to the small litter size, there are no available babies in this litter. On November 6, 2012 RMIS Shiny Dark of SITH gave birth to 2 babies, one boy and one girl, sired by SITH Chipapeno. Both the babies appear to be solid black like Shiny Dark, although both have some white toes. JOY Gingerbread has 11 babies born on November 9th 2012, and sired by SITH/JOY Secretariat. There 4 girls and 7 boys. From this litter we are expecting solid colored rats similar to the parents, with the possibility of American Irish (small white tummy markings,) with white feet/toes. Small blazes and head spots are also possible but more remotely. All of the babies appear to be varying shades of Russian blue agouti like the parents. On September 1, 2012 SITH Salsa gave birth to 11 babies sired by SITH Loki. There are 4 girls and 7 boys and in black, agouti, Russian blue and Russian blue agouti. TOPI Adam of JOY - Aussie Cinnamon Irish TOPI Eve of JOY - Aussie Cinnamon Irish

On August 14th TOPI Eve of JOY gave birth to 11 babies sired by TOPI Adam of JOY. Even Jackie's brilliant photography barely does justice to this stunning new color, originally imported from Australia. As far as we know, Small Joys Rattery is the first rattery in Canada to be working with it. All of the babies appear to be either Irish or hooded Aussie Cinnamons, except for one blue cinnamon girl, who we will be keeping. The color on the baby Aussie Cinnamons will become brighter and more intense as they age. There is a mixture of standard and dumbo ears. All of these babies have been reserved but if you are interested in being on a waiting list for more babies of this type, please email me. SITH Damien of SITH SITH Janice of SITH

SITH Janice has 13 babies sired by SITH Damien, and born on May 25th 2012. These babies should be weaned and ready for adoption any time after June 29th. This was a line breeding from one of my favorite lines. Damien is a black self carrying Russian blue and Siamese and Janice is Burmese. Both rats have delightful personalities and the babies should too. We have a mixture of black, Russian blue, Burmese, Russian blue Burmese, and Russian bluepoint Siamese. All the babies are dumbo with smooth coats. SCH PNZY Prince Charming of SITH SITH Frittata of SITH

On March 29th 2012 SITH Frittata gave birth to 11 babies sired by Supreme Champion PNZY Prince. There are 2 agouti roan boys who have been reserved already. There are 5 black roan girls like Prince, and 4 agouti roan girls like Frittata. We will be keeping 1 black roan girl and most of the rest are available for adoption. These babies can be picked up any time after May 3rd or delivered to Ratapalooza in Seattle WA on May 12, and probably transported from there, as far as the Portland and Boise Idaho areas.
SCH PNZY Prince is a black dumbo roan. He won the title "Supreme Champion" or "SCH" for scoring 100% on both looks and temperament, at Rat-a-Rama 2011, where he also won "Best of Show". Prince is a very cuddly laid back boy and Frittata is a very sweet perfectly marked agouti dumbo roan. Frittata is the kind of girl who jumps into your arms the instant you open the cage door and she has been teaching her babies to do the same. All the babies are dumbo eared, with smooth coats in either black or agouti. This litter has been raised at SITH Rattery. CWR Snowshadow of JOY JOY/SITH April of JOY

On March 22nd JOY/SITH April gave birth to 2 babies sired by CWR Snowshadow. April is now fostering Princess Paikka's 3 surviving babies, since Paikka was unable to nurse.
Snowshadow is a sweet snuggly boy from one our favorite lines. His first litter with SITH Jane can be seen here. April is the sister of May and June, whose litters can be seen above. This means that she can trace her ancestry back to my 2 all time favorite rats MUFF Uno and RMIS Darth Silky. From this pairing we may see possum markings as well as other cute blazes and facemarkings, in russian blue, black or possibly other colors. About half the babies will have wavy velveteen coats and all will be dumbo. Due to the small litter size, these babies are already reserved. SITH/JOY Prius of SITH SITH/JOY Princess Paikka of SITH

SITH/JOY Princess Paikka has 3 babies born on March 18 2012, sired by SITH/JOY Prius. Princess Paikka is a black variegated, who won "Reserve of Show Kitten" at Rat-a-Rama 2011. She is the sister of Lady Sovereign and so the babies in this litter will be very similar to those of Prius's first litter with Lady Sovereign, which can be seen here. Prius and Paikka are both the grandbabies of my beloved Dwarf boy SITH Yaris, who lived to be almost 3 1/2. The goal of this litter is to produce dwarfs and possible dwarf carriers, with wonderful personalities, exceptional longevity, and show winning potential. From this litter we are expecting super sweet rats in fawn, agouti and black, with the possibly of blue agouti. About half will have soft wavy velveteen coats, and all will be dumbo. Since both parents are regular sized dwarf carriers, some babies could be dwarf. (Note: any dwarf babies from this litter are already reserved.) Odd eyes, like Prius, are also very possible. SITH Seabiscuit of JOY SITH Pancakes of JOY

On February 7th 2012 SITH Pancakes of JOY gave birth to 15 babies sired by SITH Seabiscuit of JOY. SITH Seabiscuit, an agouti dwarf, is one Erin's favorite rats. He is a wonderfully social boy from a very healthy long lived line. His first litter with RRLM Azulita can be seen here. Pancakes is Russian blue agouti rex. In this litter we have mostly Irish markings like the parents and a few solid selfs with white feet or toes. Colors include agouti, Russian blue agouti, russian blue and black. The babies have a mix of both standard and dumbo ears, some with smooth coats, and some with rex coats. All are dwarf carriers. This litter has been raised at Small Joys Rattery. This pair is from one of the sweetest most out going litters we have ever bred so above all, we are expecting amazing temperaments. JOY/SITH Skittles, aka Frizz JOY/SITH June of SITH

On January 9th 2012 JOY/SITH June gave birth to 5 babies sired by JOY/SITH Skittles, 3 boys and 2 girls. Skittles, whose nick name is Frizz, is a black velveteen blazed variegated and June is a Russian Dove possum. Both these rats can trace their ancestry back to my 2 all time favorite rats MUFF Uno and RMIS Darth Silky so in addition to some very cute markings, we are expecting personality plus! Colors appear to be Russian dove, Havana and black . All the babies are dumbo eared, some with smooth coats, some with velveteen coats. This litter will be raised here at SITH Rattery. From this litter we are expecting super sweet rats in both fawn and agouti like the parents. About half have soft wavy velveteen coats, and all are dumbo. Since both parents are regular sized dwarf carriers, some babies could be dwarf. (Note: any dwarf babies from this litter are already reserved.) Odd eyes, like Prius, are also very possible. This litter has been raised at Small Joys Rattery. Babies can be picked up any time from January 30th on or at Ratstravaganza on February 11th and transported pretty much anywhere in the Region. On December 28 2011 JOY/SITH May gave birth to 5 babies, 2 boys and 3 girls, sired by JOY/SITH Kallichore. Kallichore is a havana velveteen dumbo and May is a Russian dove, "almost possum". May can trace her ancestry back to my 2 all time favorite rats MUFF Uno and RMIS Darth Silky and Kalli is also a direct descendant of the late great Darth Silky, so in addition to some very cute markings, we are expecting amazing personalities! From this litter we are expecting super sweet blazed rats in a variety of mink and russian blue based colors. All the babies are dumbo eared with cute markings and smooth standard coats. This litter has been raised at Small Joys Rattery. Babies should be weaned and ready to go to new homes any time after February 1st or they can be picked up at Ratstravaganza on February 11th and transported pretty much anywhere in the Region. SITH Yukon Gold of SITH SITH Adora of SITH

On December 11th 2011, SITH Adora gave birth to 13 babies, 6 boys and 7 girls, sired by Yukon Gold. These two rats are exactly the same color. It's just the lighting in the photos that's making them look different. Both have produced beautiful litters in the past. Both have wonderful sweet temperament and riotously curly fur. Yuki's litter with SITH Desiree can be seen here and Adora's litter with PNZY Prince can be seen here. This litter is mostly solid selfs like the parents, but there are 3 roans. Colors are agouti (like the parents), russian blue agouti, russian blue, and black. All the babies are dumbo eared, some with rex coats like the parents, and some with double rex (also known as patch work hairless or semi-hairless) coats. This litter has been raised here at SITH Rattery. Babies were weaned and ready for pick up any time aftre January 16th, or they can also be picked up at Ratstravaganza on February January 11th and transported pretty much anywhere in the Region. JOY Gewurtztraminer of JOY JOY Reisling of JOY

On November 11th JOY Reisling gave birth to 4 babies sired by JOY Gewurtztaminer (known simply as Gewurtz to his friends). This pair is from one of the sweetest most out going litters we have ever bred so above all, we are expecting amazing temperaments. So far it looks like all 4 babies will be Black Eyed Whites like the parents, except for one of the boys, who has dark ruby eyes. All of the babies are dumbo, with smooth standard coats. Babies should be ready to go to new homes in mid December. Due to the small litter size, they are all reserved, however, we do have a similar litter coming up between Gewurtz and Reisling's twin sister Chardonay. SCH PNZY Prince Charming of SITH PNZY Snow White of tBBR

On November 28th Snow White, aka Sally, gave birth to only 2 babies - a black rex roan girl and lighter colored smooth coat roan boy. Both the babies are dumbo. This was a joint litter with the Breakfast Bunch Rattery, and the babies will be raised in Everett WA. SCH PNZY Prince is a black dumbo roan. He won the title "Supreme Champion" or "SCH" for scoring 100% on both looks and temperament, at Rat-a-Rama 2011, where he also won "Best of Show". Prince is a very cuddly laid back boy and Snow White is an "always the first out of the cage to greet you," kind of girl, so personalities are expected to be awesome! SITH Damien of SITH RMIS Suu Kyi of SITH

On September 8th 2011, RMIS Suu Kyi gave birth to 13 babies sired by SITH Damien. Damien is a black self, who carries Siamese and Suu Kyi is a Russian Blue Burmese. This is the second litter for Damien, whose first litter with SITH Smudge can be seen here. In this litter we have a mix of black and Russian blue selfs, as well as Siamese and Burmese. Approximately half the babies are standard eared and half are dumbo. If all goes according to plan, the babies should be ready to go new homes in mid October and should be old enough to show at Fall For Rats. All these babies have now been spoken for. SITH Seabiscuit of JOY RRLM Azulita of SITH

On September 9th 2011 RRLM Azulita gave birth to 3 babies sired by SITH Seabiscuit, which is an average sized litter for dwarf rats. Seabiscuit may look like a "plain" standard eared agouti dwarf but he more than makes up for it in personality plus. Azulita, or "little blue" is a blue dumbo dwarf who also comes complete with a wicked sweet personality. Both carry Russian blue so we ended up with 2 Russian blue agouti boys and one agouti girl, all standard eared. This litter is planned to be ready for adoption in October or November 2011 and should be old enough to show at Fall For Rats. SCH PNZY Prince Charming of SITH SITH Adora of SITH

The Royal Family Litter

On July 29th 2011, SITH Adora gave birth to 16 babies sired by SCH PNZY Prince. She has proven to be an amazing mom and all the babies survived. SCH PNZY Prince is a black dumbo roan. He won the title "Supreme Champion" or "SCH" for scoring 100% on both looks and temperament, at Rat-a-Rama 2011, where he also won "Best of Show". Adora is an agouti self dumbo roan carrier, who won "Reserve of Show" as a kitten. She would also have shown well at Rat-a-Rama, had not one of her cagemates decided to give her fur a major trim. All the babies are dumbo eared and 4 have our famous rex coat. Colors appear to be black, agouti, Russian blue agouti, fawn, beige and russian beige. This litter has been raised here at SITH Rattery. CWR Snowshadow of JOY SITH Jane of JOY

On August 11th 2011 SITH Jane of JOY, gave birth to 7 babies, 6 boys and one girl, sired by CWR Snowshadow. Snowshadow is a mostly white velveteen with a thin feathering of Russian blue possum marking.   So far there appears to be one black eyed white and an assortment of cute face markings in a variety of colors.   There are 5 velveteens and 2 standard coats. All the babies are dumbo. This line is Dalmatian based and descends directly from the late great MUFF Uno, who was possibly the greatest rat that ever lived. Babies have been raised at Small Joys Rattery in Vancouver BC and all have now found homes. If you are interested in babies of this type please email me. MMDR Levi of JOY JOY/SITH Jezebel of JOY (baby pic)

On August 11th 2011, JOY/SITH Jezebel, a regular sized Russian Silver Dumbo, gave birth to 2 baby boys sired by MMDR Levi, a Russian Cinnamon dwarf.   Both babies are Russian blue or Russian blue agouti dumbos, carrying American blue and dwarf. Babies will be raised at Small Joys Rattery in Vancouver BC and will be ready to go new homes in mid September. Dmnt Darth Zorro of SITH SITH Christine of SITH

The Phantom of the Opera Litter

On July 14th 2011 SITH Christine gave birth to 8 babies, 4 girls and 4 boys sired by Dmnt Darth Zorro. Darth Zorro is a Russian blue masked dumbo from Dream Mountain Rattery in Oregon. Christine is a Russian Cinnamon dalmatian dumbo who was born here at SITH Rattery. This is the second litter for Christine, whose first litter with SITH Christopher can be seen here. In this litter we have fancy faced dumbos in Russian blue agouti, and russian cinnamon, and another colour that is possibly russian dove or blue. All of the babies have masky faces similar to their parents. Babies will be ready to go new homes in mid August. SITH Yukon Gold of SITH SITH Desiree of SITH

On February 5th 2011 SITH Desiree, an agouti self dumbo, gave birth to 14 babies sired by SITH Yukon Gold, an agouti self rex dumbo (Best of Variety - Ratstravaganza 2011). All the babies are dumbo and may carry roan. Except for the 2 roan babies, most the babies are solid (selfs) with considerable, to no noticeable white toes. There are also a few with very nice English Irish markings. Colors appear to be agouti or Russian blue agouti, with possibly one Russian blue, and an adorable black rex. There look to be two shades of Russian blue agouti, one fairly light and looking closer to Russian blue, and one much darker, looking closer to agouti, with dark blue where the red highlights would normally be. There are 8 standard coats and 6 curly rex coats. The Russian blue in this litter is from the same wonderful line mentioned in Demetri and Leah's litter. The agouti rex (roan) line that we crossed it into, is also one we have been working on since we first started breeding. SITH/JOY Emily has 4 very fat, healthy looking babies, born on January 7th 2011, and sired by SITH/JOY Demetri. Demetri is a gorgeous Russian silver self, and his sister Emily is a Russian blue irish. They are from the same line as Angus and Vivax (below) which is my favorite, most laid back, easy going line. Along with my many rat breeding partners, I have been working with this line for countless generations, so I am confident that these babies will be exceptional. The one flaw we might see is babies with one eye slightly larger than the other, as this has been known to run in this line. This barely noticeable flaw does not affect their vision in any way, and unless you plan to show them, it will have no bearing on their suitability as pets. All the babies are dumbos. JOY Angus is an easy going, "lie on his back in your hand" kind of rat. He is a Russian bluepoint Burmese who carries dumbo, so approximately half the babies should be dumbo. Vivax is a Russian Blue Self dumbo, carrying Siamese. These babies all appear to be Russian Blue Burmese but some could turn out to be solid Russian Blue selfs, it's just too early to say for sure. On December 5th 2010, JOY Masquerade gave birth to 8 babies sired by JOY/SITH Bluno, however, she was unable to feed her babies and all but 3 of the babies passed away. The remaining babies were fostered by JOY Vivax of JOY.
JOY/SITH Bluno was so named because of his resemblance to my all time favorite rat, the late great MUFF Uno, to whom he is distantly related. I also could have sworn he was Russian blue when he was a baby, (thus the name) but I must have been seeing things because he is definitely black now, as was the original Uno. Like his renowned ancestor, Bluno is a wonderful laid back squishy boy with an excellent temperament. He carries both Russian blue agouti and mink. Sweet Masky is so named because she has a full facemask marking in Russian dove agouti. She carries russian blue, mink, agouti and beige. The babies in this litter will all be mostly white dumbo fancy face marked dalmatians like their parents. This will be a second litter for Masky, whose first litter can be seen here. Masky had no problem whatsoever feeding her first litter, and remains in excellent health, so we are baffled as to why she was unable to feed this litter. Rare European Roans

On December 30 2009 JOY/ROUS Lady Luck gave birth to 15 roan babies sired by JOY/SITH Snowball. These 2 roans, both with perfect blazes and banding should produce some fantastic show quality babies. Snowball won best of show marked kitten at Ratstock 2008 and Best of Show marked adult at the RatsPacNW Spring Show 2009. Lady attended her first show in Port Orchard WA this Fall, winning Best in Show marked kitten. (Recent RatsPacNW show results can be seen here and past show results here.) In addition to their amazing good looks, these two rats also carry amazing sweetness. We are expecting all standard eared European roans, whose color will eventually fade to white or almost white, half will have fantastic curly rex coats. While it looks like the majority will be fawn like their dad, colors should include agouti and the possibility of black, blue and blue agouti. Dmnt Popcorn of JOY had 9 babies on January 2 2010, sired by STUD Odin of JOY. It is our hope that Popcorn will be able to foster some of Charlie's babies (see above). Odin is a lovely boy, who is one of Erin's boyfriend's favorite shoulder-rats, and a handsome gentleman to boot. Popcorn is a lovely acquisition from Dream Mountain Rattery in Oregon. She is a fun personality with a rat wrapped around it. SITH Oak of Small Joys (daughter of the great RMIS Darth Silky) has 14 little squeakers sired by JATS/STUD Aaron, who lives with Robbi the Rat Momma in Tacoma WA. They were born on November 2nd 2009 at 2:30 am. From this pairing we are expecting huge sweet minky dumbos. Oak and Aaron are both lovely somewhat lazy rats from oversized lines. Erin from Small Joys fell in love with Aaron at a show, and now this will be the second joint litter we've done with him. The breeding took place in Tacoma and the babies were raised there.

RMIS Gradient (aka Lava) of Small Joys Rattery, a standard eared Russian Bluepoint black eyed Siamese dumbo carrier (sister of RMIS King of SITH) was bred to RMIS Wabi Sabi, a sable Burmese from Rodents of Unusual Sweetness Rattery in Seattle. On October 7th 2009 Lava gave birth to 13 babies, 4 boys and 9 girls. With many wonderful colorpoint bucks to choose from at Rodents of Unusual Sweetness, we went with Wabi, as he was reported to have the best temperament and personality. All the babies in this litter should be nicely marked Burmese. About half should be dumbo. These babies will be raised at Small Joys Rattery.

HoF/ROUS Fiona of SITH, an American Irish Burmese dumbo, had 9 babies, born October 5th 2009. There were 2 boys and 7 girls, sired by RMIS King of SITH, a black eyed Russian bluepoint Siamese. Fiona is a happy, bouncy girl with plenty of personality, and although he is a little bit more reserved, RMIS King, is a stunner who won Reserve of Show at the RatsPacNW 2009 Rat-a-Rama Show in Boise Idaho. On July 14 2009 Corn Pops of JOY gave birth to 2 babies sired by CAVE Rutger of ROUS in a joint breeding with Rodents of Unusual Sweetness Rattery in Seattle. Lynn from ROUS Rattery describes the almost two year old Rutger as "Big, handsome, super friendly, healthy and robust". Corn Pops is a hyper, silly, gorgeous girl, sister of the best-in-show JOY/SITH Snowball owned by SITH Rattery. Both babies are dark colored roans with smooth coats. These babies were raised at Small Joys Rattery.

On Friday May 29th 2009 JOY Roxanne gave birth to 5 babies sired by SITH Paris. Roxanne is a super sexy mink odd-eyed, dumbo carrier, with a lightning blaze, from the ever-popular SITH Cocoa Puff line. Paris, who is JOY Rattery's rat ambassador to humanity, is a curly black blazed boy with dumbo ears, who carries mink. At over 2 1/2 years old, Paris is clearly still both healthy and virile. Babies will be curly or smooth, mink or black, half dumbo and half standard-ear, with the possibility of blue. These babies were raised at Small Joys Rattery.

I brought lovely CAVE Krislyn home from the fall RatsPacNW show and the following Saturday, September 29th, she gave birth to 10 babies. Talk about getting 11 ratties for the price of one! Krislyn is a delightful blue satin irish, roan carrier. Based on genetics, we have now determined the sire to be CAVE Lance, a rather large, satin coated agouti, roan carrier. All the babies are standard eared and all have satin coats.   There are 3 does and 7 bucks in the litter. Half are black and half agouti, but of course they all carry blue and could possibly carry roan. Krislyn is an adorable girl, who has proven to be an amazing mom. I'm assured that CAVE Lance is from super healthy, unusually long lived lines and has a wonderful personality. These babies were raised at SITH Rattery.

Ratties in the Key of "E" Litter

On August 25th SITH Erin gave birth to 14 rittens sired by ROUS Elliott of Rodents of Unusual Sweetness Rattery in Seattle. There are 3 boys and 11 girls. Erin, who is a granddaughter of the late great MUFF Uno, is from our amazing Evil SITH Trojans litter. It seems that every rat in that litter is exceptional, most are someone's "favourite" rat, and so we are really excited about Erin's babies! In this litter we are seeing cute possum faces, other blazes in mink, black, lilac, havana and pearl/merle. Because both parents have odd eyes, many of the babies do too. 8 of the babies have curly velveteen coats, 6 are smooth. Most are standard eared and 5 are dumbo. These babies were raised at SITH Rattery.

The Grand Tour Litter

On August 24th EAGL Rhonda gave birth to 9 babies sired by Cave Dashiell of Rodents of Unusual Sweetness Rattery in Seattle. There are 5 girls and 4 boys. There are 4 agouti blazed European Roans.   The rest are solid, or slightly marked roan carriers in agouti and fawn. All but the 3 of the babies, have curly whiskers, which indicate either tightly curled rex show winning coats or double rex (semi-hairless) coats. All will be standard eared with the wonderful personalities this line is famous for. These babies also come from show winning lines, and as far as we know, this is the first ever Roan litter born in Canada. These babies were raised at SITH Rattery.

The Goldcoats Litter

On August 24th TLMS Bella gave birth to 10 babies sired by SITH Syrus, from the infamous "Browncoats" litter. There are 5 boys and 5 girls. All the babies appear to be either fawn or agouti. So far we are seeing 5 smooth coats and 6 of the show winning tightly curled rex coats this line is famous for. All the babies will be standard eared, in low to no white, and will carry dumbo. It is sure to be a stunning litter with excellent temperaments. These babies were raised at SITH Rattery.

RSCL/ROUS Jackson

On July 12th SITH Angel, a charcoal possum faced dumbo with an eye patch, gave birth to 4 babies sired by RSCL/ROUS Jackson of Rodents of Unusual Sweetness Rattery in Seattle. These babies should be weaned and ready for adoption sometime after August 16th. There are 3 boys and 1 girl, all dumbo, 2 have velveteen coats and 2 are smooth. Three of the babies are black and one boy looks lighter, probably agouti. All the babies appear to be berkshires with headspots, like their dad. Personalities should be devine! These babies were raised at Small JOYs Rattery.

Baby Photos and Pedigree
On Sunday May 13th RRLM Debbi gave birth to a litter of 10 babies sired by SITH Phiset, however, Debbi was unable to feed her babies and 2 of them passed away. The surviving 8 are now being fostered at Stud Muffins Rattery in Renton Washington. This pairing has produced some black selfs like Debbi as well as a few siamese like Phiset. All but one of the siamese babies has black eyes.   Some of the babies have white toes. There are 7 boys and 1 girl. All of the babies are either rex (curly coats) or double rex (semi-hairless). All are dumbo with wonderful temperaments.   These babies were fostered by STUD Muffins Rattery in Seattle WA, as the mamma rat was unable to nurse them.

Photos and Pedigree JOY Gingerbread has 9 babies born on March 1 2013, sired by SITH/JOY Secretariat. This was a second litter for this couple, whose first litter can be seen here. In this current litter there 7 girls and 2 boys in varying shades of russian blue and russian blue agouti. Most are fairly solid colored, with a few American Irish (small white tummy markings,) with white feet/toes. About half the litter will has smooth coats and half have curly rex coats. Baby Photos! On August 14th TOPI Eve of JOY gave birth to 11 babies sired by TOPI Adam of JOY. Even Jackie's brilliant photography barely does justice to this stunning new color, originally imported from Australia. As far as we know, Small Joys Rattery is the first rattery in Canada to be working with it. All of the babies appear to be either Irish or hooded Aussie Cinnamons, except for one blue cinnamon girl, who we will be keeping. The color on the baby Aussie Cinnamons will become brighter and more intense as they age. There is a mixture of standard and dumbo ears. All of these babies have been reserved but if you are interested in being on a waiting list for more babies of this type, please email me. Photos and Pedigree SITH Janice has 13 babies sired by SITH Damien, and born on May 25th 2012. These babies should be weaned and ready for adoption any time after June 29th. This was a line breeding from one of my favorite lines. Damien is a black self carrying Russian blue and Siamese and Janice is Burmese. Both rats have delightful personalities and the babies should too. We have a mixture of black, Russian blue, Burmese, Russian blue Burmese, and Russian bluepoint Siamese. All the babies are dumbo with smooth coats. Photos and Pedigree On December 11th 2011, SITH Adora gave birth to 13 babies, 6 boys and 7 girls, sired by Yukon Gold. These two rats are exactly the same color. It's just the lighting in the photos that's making them look different. Both have produced beautiful litters in the past. Both have wonderful sweet temperament and riotously curly fur. Yuki's litter with SITH Desiree can be seen here and Adora's litter with PNZY Prince can be seen here. This litter is mostly solid selfs like the parents, but there are 3 roans. Colors are agouti (like the parents), russian blue agouti, russian blue, and black. All the babies are dumbo eared, some with rex coats like the parents, and some with double rex (also known as patch work hairless or semi-hairless) coats. This litter has been raised here at SITH Rattery. Babies were weaned and ready for pick up any time aftre January 16th, or they can also be picked up at Ratstravaganza on February January 11th and transported pretty much anywhere in the Region. SITH Yukon Gold of SITH	SITH Desiree of SITH
Photos and Pedigree of The Tasty Taters Litter On February 5th 2011 SITH Desiree, an agouti self dumbo, gave birth to 14 babies sired by SITH Yukon Gold, an agouti self rex dumbo (Best of Variety - Ratstravaganza 2011). All the babies are dumbo and may carry roan. Except for the 2 roan babies, most the babies are solid (selfs) with considerable, to no noticeable white toes. There are also a few with very nice English Irish markings. Colors appear to be agouti or Russian blue agouti, with possibly one Russian blue, and an adorable black rex. There look to be two shades of Russian blue agouti, one fairly light and looking closer to Russian blue, and one much darker, looking closer to agouti, with dark blue where the red highlights would normally be. There are 8 standard coats and 6 curly rex coats. The Russian blue in this litter is from the same wonderful line mentioned in Demetri and Leah's litter. The agouti rex (roan) line that we crossed it into, is also one we have been working on since we first started breeding. It is as well known for outstanding temperament, as it is it's show winning rex coats. All the babies in this litter have now been reserved. RtRM/JOY Hoshi of SITH	JOY Springtime of JOY
Photos and Pedigree of The Merry Months of Springtime Litter On February 21 2011 JOY Springtime (blazed black dalmatian dumbo) gave birth to 5 babies sired by RtRM/JOY Hoshi (havana velveteen berkshire dumbo). Springtime is a direct descendant of my all time favorite rat Muff Uno, and Hoshi is the grandson of my second all time favorite, the great Darth Silky. The two boys appear to be black, although one seems slightly darker than the other. One girl looks mink and the other two are a lighter, as yet unknown color, most likely Russian dove. Only one of the babies, the darkest boy, is velveteen. All the babies have cute possumy blazes. All of the babies in this litter are now reserved but a repeat litter is planned. RMIS Opal of JOY	JOY Frigg of JOY
Photos and Pedgree of the Totally Named by Adopters Litter On February 5th 2011 JOY Frigg gave birth to 7 babies sired by RMIS Opal. Both parents are dumbo "almost" black eyed whites from dalmatian lines. This amazing line descends directly from my all time favorite rat, Muff Uno. The goal of this litter was to produce black eyed white babies, and so far it looks like we have succeeded. While at least some of the white babies in the litter might develop a spot or two of color between now and reaching about 12 weeks of age, so far there are 5 pure white babies, 3 girls and 2 boys, plus two 2 girls with very cute "possumy" markings. Photos and Pedigree On October 1st 2010, JOY/JATS Roulette, gave birth to 9 babies sired by RtRM/JOY Hoshi (grandson of the late great Darth Silky, who lived to be over 3). Hoshi recently won "Most Laid Back" at the Fall RatsPacNW Show. This very relaxed and easy going line can trace it's ancestry all the way back to the first litter ever bred at SITH Rattery, and beyond. All the babies will be smooth coat dumbos, with assorted fancy markings. Most should be in various shades of Havana, lilac or mink, with some black and possibly Russian blue. Photos and Pedigree On September 11th 2010, JOY/SITH Lady Margaret, gave birth to 11 babies sired by JOY/SITH Bamboo Shoot. This long awaited litter is a combination of my two favorite lines - our show winning rex roan line and our self and black eyed Siamese line. Both lines are also very well known for amazing outgoing personalities so we are expecting great things from this combo. The objects of this outcross were to introduce Russian blue and dumbo into our roan line, and to finally fill some long standing requests for fans of agouti rex babies. All the babies are agouti Selfs, or low white Irish, some with smooth coats and some with very tightly curled rex coats. Due to a genetic throwback a long way back in the pedigree, we even got a few surprise dumbos. All the babies carry Russian blue and roan. All the standard eared babies carry dumbo.
